Ceremonial matcha is made from the highest quality tea leaves. The tea is shade grown before harvest, and only young leaves are selected. All of the stems and veins are taken out before being stone ground to ensure only quality in the powder. Ceremonial matcha is known for its color and quality, it is usually enjoyed with hot water to bring out its distinct clean flavor. There are different grades to ceremonial matcha, and can be noticed by the flavor and color. Culinary matcha is a blend made to be used for baking and drinks. It is still made from quality tea leaves, but has a slightly different flavor and shade of green from the ceremonial matcha.

To make a traditional cup of matcha, mix 1tsp of matcha and 2oz of hot water in a matcha bowl with a bamboo whisk. Whisk until matcha is mixed well and froth is achieved. Enjoy slow ~
